Friction
A force that opposes motion between two surfaces in contact.
Driving force
The force propelling an object forward, overcoming friction.
Terminal Velocity
The constant speed achieved by an object when the force of gravity is balanced by the drag force (air resistance).
Air resistance
The resistance an object encounters when moving through air, proportional to its velocity.
Decelerate
To decrease in speed or velocity.
Maximum Velocity
The highest speed an object reaches when the driving force is equal to the opposing forces like friction and air resistance.
Resultant force
The net force acting on an object, which determines its acceleration or deceleration.
