A logical argument against a point of view presented in an opposing argument.
What are Rhetorical Appeals?
Techniques used to engage and convince an audience, classified into logical, emotional, and ethical appeals.
What is a Speaker in rhetorical terms?
The persona that a speaker or writer is trying to project to the audience.
What is an Audience in rhetoric?
The specific groups of people that the writer/speaker is trying to convince.
What is Tone in a text?
Created by specific rhetorical choices, especially choices of emotional appeal, and should be appropriate for the subject and audience.
What is a Logical Fallacy?
An error in logic that undermines the validity of an argument.
