calcium binds to troponin, moves tropomyosin

myosin hydrolyzes ATP and binds to actin which from a cross-bridge
What is step 8 of skeletal muscle contraction?
myosin head tilts forward (power stroke), and causes the filaments to slide past each other
What is step 9 of skeletal muscle contraction?
myosin remains attached to actin until ATP binds to it, which breaks the bond and cross-bridge. Then myosin returns to resting state
