Evidence
That which is evident or manifest, or which supplies proof; the means by which any fact or point in issue or question may be proved or disproved in a manner complying with the legal rules governing the subject.
Rules of Evidence
Legal guidelines that determine what information is admissible in court, how it must be handled, and how it will be judged for reliability.
Testimony
A component of evidence consisting of spoken statements accepted by the court to prove or disprove facts in issue.
Hearsay
A form of evidence accepted by the court as part of the material used to determine the facts in issue.
Documents
Written or printed items accepted by the court as evidence of the facts in issue.
Things
Tangible objects or physical items accepted by the court as evidence of the facts in issue.
Facts
Information or circumstances accepted by the court as evidence of the points in issue.
