1548
The main identifier for this date is that Austria, Bohemia, the Benelux, Southern Italy, and Spain should all be the same color/shade because Charles V is the king of all those areas.
1648
This will not always be the case but this should be basically the same as 1548 except that the Netherlands are free from Spain and Switzerland is no longer a part of the HRE. I'm unsure as to the quality of the map we will get but if it is pretty good then Sweden should own part of the Northern German Coast and France should be a bit bigger with the area of Lorraine being a part of it, although this may also be represented on the 1600 map. New, United Netherlands, but Brabant and Flanders still in Spanish hands.
1808 (1812)
So Napoleon owns Europe pretty much. The HRE is dead with a semi-unified Germany Consisting of 3 different states: The Confederation of the Rhine (basically modern German borders), Austria (Austro-Hungarian borders almost), and Prussia. Catalonia might be owned by the French during this time. The British Isles are only now fully unified. Poland is only called the Duchy of Warsaw and is quite small.
1848
Modern French borders. Modern Spanish Borders. Austria should own northern Italy along with the rest of Austro-Hungarian lands. Poland is gone. Greece exists. Belgium exists. Explosions!
1888 (1878)
Germany is Unified! Huzzah! Austro-Hungary is out of northern Italy. Germany owns Alsace-Lorraine. Italy is Unified. Serbia, Romania, Montenegro, and Bosnia are free from the Ottomans.
1918
Poland exists with them owning Danzig (Gdansk in Polish). Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States, and Finland (which should look a little bigger than modern borders). Yugoslavia exists. Ottomans are dead (RIP). Italy got a little bigger. Austria-Hungary is dead. France has Alsace-Lorraine. Ireland is free (N. Ireland is still British). Romania owns Moldova. Germany is smaller :(
1938
Germany owns Austria (Anschluss). Spain might be split in two due to the Spanish Civil War. Looks the exact same pretty much as 1918 except for Austria being part of Germany.
1948
East and West Germany. Like the German thing should kind of give it away so I won't list the other clues.
