Outcome Variable
Also referred to as the dependent variable, this represents the result (such as test grades) that is measured to see if it changes when another variable is manipulated.
Controlled Variables
Factors such as prior experience or having taken the class before, which a researcher seeks to control so that the manipulated variable is the primary driver of observed differences.
Operation Types of Questions
Mathematical questions involving time, multiplication, or division, which test principles but also assume reading literacy or plug and chalk ability.
Covariation
A concept examined alongside causation when looking at data to determine relationships and drive a particular perspective forward.
Population
In the context of sampling discussed in the lecture, the entire group of students present in the speaker's class.
