Genetic Predispositions
Genetic factors that influence a person's likelihood to exhibit certain traits or behaviors.
Nature vs. Nurture

Independent Variable (IV)

Synaptic Cleft
The space between neurons where neurotransmitters are released and bind to receptors.
Reuptake
The process by which neurotransmitters are reabsorbed by the presynaptic neuron after transmitting a signal.
Agonist
A substance that mimics or enhances the effects of a neurotransmitter.
Antagonist
A substance that blocks or inhibits the effects of a neurotransmitter.
Autonomic Nervous System
The part of the peripheral nervous system that controls involuntary bodily functions.
Central Nervous System (CNS)
The brain and spinal cord, responsible for processing information and controlling responses.
Motor Neurons
Nerve cells that carry signals from the brain and spinal cord to muscles, facilitating movement.
Hypothalamus
A brain region that plays a crucial role in controlling hunger, thirst, and various bodily functions.
Cerebellum
The part of the brain responsible for coordination and balance.
