An easy way to remember the continuous exponential growth or decay formula! A = PeRT. A = the final amount after time t. P = the principal (initial) amount. e = Euler's number, a mathematical constant approximately equal to 2.718. R = the rate of growth or decay (expressed as a decimal). For growth, the rate is positive (R > 0). For decay, the rate is negative (R < 0). t = time elapsed.
