Step 1
Seat patient and place bib and goggles
Step 2
Check that tray is set up correctly

Prepare Dr’s gloves, mask, and eyewear

Inform Dr you are ready

HMVAC: Health History, Meds, Vitals, Allergies, Consent forms
Step 6
Place or pass topical anesthetic
Step 7
Pass Local anesthetic/aspirating syringe to dr.
Step 8
Take syringe back and have Saliva Ejector and Air/Water syringe in hand
Step 9
Use Air/Water Syringe to rinse the injection site and use Saliva Ejector to suction
Step 10
Pass Tongue and Cheek Retractor and Periosteal Elevator to Dr. Keep surgical suction close to tooth to keep it clear of blood.
Step 11
Pass Small Straight Elevator
Step 12
Take Small elevator back and pass Large Straight Elevator
Step 13
Take Large elevator back and pass the forceps to the Dr depending on which tooth is being extracted. Keep using surgical syringe and have 2×2 gauze ready to grab tooth and forceps.
Step 14
Pass curette to the Dr in case of any debris removal is necessary while suctioning
Step 15
Pass bone file to the Dr to file down any bone spurs from the socket
Step 16
Fold 2×2 gauze and place it on extraction site and have patient bite down.
