What are solstices?
an event that occurs when Earth’s tilt causes one hemisphere to receive its maximum or minimum amount of sunlight.
What are the to types of solstices?
Summer Solstice → longest day of the year
Winter Solstice → shortest day of the year
Why do solstices occur?
They occur because Earth's axis is tilted 23.5° as Earth revolves around the Sun.
