Heel Wedge:
applied to the medial heel to prevent excessive eversion
applied to lateral heel to prevent excessive inversion
can be used to treat symptoms associated with pes planus or pes cavus
Heel lift:
commonly used to take pressure off of the achilles tendon
used to limit the effects of leg length discrepancy
Heel cushion:
decrease pain in the heel
used for calcaneal spur or plantar fasciitis
Heel cup:
covers the plantar surface of the calcaneus and extends upwards on all three sides
helps stabilize the the calcaneus in a neutral position
