The United States government use posters such as the one above to encourage Americans to save food because they needed all resources they could get, to send to the soidlers fighting across the Ocean. Not only would they put up these types of posters, but they would also try encourage Americans to have gassless, wheatless, meatless, porkless, sweetless night. Another way the goverment encourage Americans to save food was by telling them to start to growing "victory gardens" in their backyards. That way they could eat their own food and save food.

An installment plan was the cerdit card of the 1920s. With an installment someone could buy something without having to put down a lot of money down to actually buy it. If someone like a product, but I didn't have enough money right at the moment they would set up an insallement plan. The person could buy the thing in payments. The installment plan affected the economy because it lead to an increase of sales which boosted and built up the econmy. The installment plan also affected consumerism by increasing it because it made it easier to buy stuff, which in turn also boosted up the economy.

The Harlem Renaissance was African American's culture. Because of the great migration a lot of African American people were in big northern cities, like Ney York. They brought along with them Jazz music which orginally orginated in the south. It was now brought to the north, because Jazz was such a hit with Americans it was adopted in the American culture. People like Louis Armstrong also helped Jazz get popular with Americans. Jazz was also merged with other popular American music and was even used in big sound movies. But Jazz wasn't the only thing that the Harlem Renaissance contributed to American culture, the blues also got adopted into American culture.

Describe what happens when there is a "run on a bank," and the problems that could result if one takes place.

When there is a "run on a bank" that means that mutiple people litterly "run" to the bank before anyone else to withdraw their money. People usally do this because they know the bank might close and indicating all their money will be lost if they do not take it out. Banks can usally give back maybe some people's money, but they cannot give everyone's money back. Once enough people ask for all of there money back the bank might need to close because it cannot keep up with everyone wanting their money back.

The farming techniques which contributed to the problems of the Dust Bowl was the plowing of millions of acres. Farmers during the 1920's were able to get fancy new tractors and supplies to help me plow more feilds. When farmers plowed they would take away prarie grass and cut down prarie trees.

Prarie grasses and prarie trees are super important to the Dust Bowl's region because they hold together the top soil of the parie, underneth the top soil is sand and grit. When farmers had plowed they left the parie top soil loose, so when the dust storms came they were able to carry the topsoil, and the sand and grit underneth easily. Which contributed to the problems of the Dust Bowl.
