Intestinal Glands
Glands that secrete final enzymes for the digestion of proteins and carbohydrates.
Amino Pepticlases
Enzymes that convert Polypeptides into Amino Acids.
Depiptidases (Erepsin)
Enzymes that convert Depipticles into Amino Acids.
Chemical Digestion of Fats
A process that begins and ends in the small intestine.
Pancreatic Steapsin
An enzyme that breaks down Fats into Fatty Acids and Glycerol.
Intestinal Steapsin
An enzyme that converts Fats (e.g., butter) into Fatty Acids and Glycerol.
Chemical Digestion of Protein
According to the notes, this process begins in the mouth and involves enzymes like Pepsin and Trypsin.
Pepsin
An enzyme that changes protein into small Polypeptides.
Trypsin
An enzyme that repeats the work of pepsin to ensure protein molecules turn into polypeptides and dipeptides.
Chemical Digestion of Carbohydrates
A process that begins in the mouth with the action of Ptylin.
Ptylin
A salivary amylase that converts Carbohydrate (e.g., potato and rice) into Disaccharides such as Maltose, Sucrose, and Lactose.
Amylopsin
A pancreatic juice secreted by the pancreatic duct used for carbohydrate digestion.
