Child (United Nations Definition)
An individual from birth to 18 years old.
Adolescence (UNESCO Definition)
A distinct period marking the transition between childhood and adulthood.

Growth
Physical changes manifested by an increase in the number of teeth, length of fingernails and hair, and weight of muscles.
Maturation
The developmental change in the individual, such as the aging process.
