Possessive Adjectives
Words that indicate ownership. Important to match gender and number of the noun.
Gustar
A verb meaning 'to like'. It's mainly used in the third person with indirect object pronouns to indicate who likes something.
Ser
A verb used for describing permanent characteristics, origin, and identity.
Estar
A verb used for temporary states, location, feelings and conditions.
Tener
A verb meaning 'to have'.
Direct Object Pronouns
Pronouns that replace the object of the action.
¡Qué!
Used in exclamations to give emphasis, meaning 'How…!' or 'What a…!'
Venir
A verb meaning 'to come'.
Tener que
Means 'to have to'.
Deber
Means 'should'.
Stem Changing Verbs (e-ie, e-i)
Verbs that change their stem vowel in all forms except nosotros and vosotros.
Demonstrative Adjectives
Adjectives that point out specific nouns (this, that, these, those), matching gender and number.
Querer
Means 'to want'.
Gustaría
Means 'would like'.
O-UE Stem Changing Verbs
Verbs whose stem changes from 'o' to 'ue'.
Jugar
A verb meaning 'to play'.
Present Progressive
Verb tense used to describe actions in progress.
Hace + Time Expression
Used to express how long ago something happened.
