Specific Learning Disorder
A diagnosis characterized by difficulties in learning and using academic skills.
Dyslexia
A pattern of learning difficulties with accurate or fluent word recognition, poor decoding, and poor spelling abilities.
Dyscalculia
A pattern of difficulties characterized by problems processing numerical information and performing accurate or fluent calculations.
Functioning Level - Mild
Some difficulties in learning skills in one or two academic domains, but mild enough to allow compensation with support.
Functioning Level - Moderate
Marked difficulties in learning skills in one or more domains, requiring intensive and specialized teaching.
Functioning Level - Severe
Severe difficulties affecting several academic domains, requiring ongoing intensive individualized teaching.
Intervention
Actions taken to improve skills that target difficulties faced by individuals with learning disorders.
Criterion B
