GOLD PACER / GREEN PACER
A Play Action scheme utilizing Mid Zone or Outside Zone blocking with an E.O.P. (End of Play) designation.
RIP / LIZ
Sprint Out Protection where the BST (Backside Tackle) and BSG (Backside Guard) use a Waterfall technique if there is a defender in the gap.
560 / 570
A 5-Man Pro with a Firm Set (Firm 5 vs 5) that only blocks one linebacker in the box.
60 / 70
A standard 5-Man Protection that does not utilize a Firm Set.
360 / 370
A 6-Man Quick Protection that follows the same rules as 60/70 but executed at a faster tempo.
SOLDIER MAX
A Play Action sell where the call-side guard pulls to block the C-gap; a "ME" call indicates the Guard blocks the 3-tech while the Center pulls instead.
ROCK / LAND
Commands for pull direction: ROCK indicates the LG pulls right, while LAND indicates the RG pulls left. PST stays square and BST pass sets.
RAMBO / LIMBO
A 7-Man Protection involving a full slide away from the call; PST/PSG/C pass set playside while BST/BSG sell the run. Includes a "SLOW" call vs playside edge pressure.
60 CHIP / 70 CHIP
A Dropback 6-Man Protection using LASO/ROPE against 4-down fronts; features a 3-man slide to the Mike and chip blocks on each side.
INDY
An Inside Zone run scheme with an alert for a ZORRO call against edge pressure.
MEMPHIS
Inside Zone run where the TE slices back; O-line should not chase exchanging linebackers and stays alert for a ZORRO call.
BACK
Instruction for the TE to slice back; specifies not to touch the DE or 5-tech.
COLT
Inside Zone scheme where the H-back blocks Minus-1; the BST is locked on the End unless a ZORRO call is made.
2 / 3
A Tight Inside Zone where the RB chases the Center's hip and blocks the playside gap; a LIMBO call means starters should not go downfield.
OHIO
Mid Zone to Low Shade/1-Tech; uses a "SAG" call for the Center to pull around the Guard vs a 2i defender.
OAKLAND
A Mid or Outside Zone to Low Shade/1-Tech where the Center makes calls, including "SAG" versus a 2i.
OREGON
A scheme similar to OHIO where the BST is locked, the QB reads, and the O-line blocks the first linebacker in the box.
DODGERS
A scheme using Covered/Uncovered rules where the 1st Puller executes a Kick then Alley, and the 2nd Puller targets the first linebacker in the box.
SUPER
A call made by the BST in DODGERS when the responsible linebacker is playside.
18 / 19
Mid Zone with a playside TE; involves a triple team with the TE vs 6/7-tech. A "PEPSI" call locks the BST. Check to OHIO if the Safety comes down.
CUB
A Counter play with Trap and Wrap pulls; A-gap technique pulls the Guard and Tackle, while a B-gap defender pulls the Center and Tackle.
CHICAGO
Power with 1 Puller where the BST always hinges and the BSG trap pulls to the call side (GOLD translates to Pull Left, RED to Pull Right).
KNIFE
Power with a Skip Puller where the BSG skip pulls for the playside backer; remaining rules match CHICAGO.
STEELERS
Power with a Skip Puller where the BSG skip pulls for the call-side backer; can pick up the Safety in a 3-man front.
FLYER
Power with a Skip Puller for the call-side backer; if the linebacker runs away, the puller looks inside instead of chasing.
COYOTE
Inside Zone scheme; against a 3-man front, the BST leaves the edge alone. Possible ZORRO call with playside pressure.
RAIDERS
Outside Zone; 1st Combo is the first defender outside the box (Safety/Will/Nickel), and 2nd Combo is Minus-2.
PEYTON
Inside Zone to Low Shade including a Combo from Low Shade DT to Mike; possible backside combo with BSG/BST if two linebackers are in the box.
DENVER
Mid Zone with 1 Puller where the call-side Tackle always wraps around the TE; GOLD means LT pulls right, while GREEN/RED means RT pulls left.
TYLER
A 2-Man Screen where BST/BSG block the playside gap to the WR defender then Alley seal; PST/PSG block OAKLAND.
AUSTIN
Middle 3 Screen where both Tackles pass set; the Middle 3 set twice, punch, then release to targets: Alley, 1st LB, then 2nd LB.
LUBBOCK
Front-side 3 Screen where PST goes to the Alley, PSG performs a "Rat Kill" on the edge, and the Center seals the first LB in the box.
STORM
A Jet Motion Screen where the whole offensive line blocks Mid Zone and the BST locks the edge.
