Weber Test
Test done by placing the stem of a vibrating tuning fork on the midline of the head and having the patient indicate in which ear the tone can be heard.

Sensorineural deafness
-something is wrong with the auditory nerve or cochlea
-if weber's creates lateral result, there could be this in the contralateral ear
Conduction deafness
-problem with sound getting to the inner ear
-if weber's creates lateral result, there could be this in the ipsilateral ear
Rinne test
hearing test using a tuning fork; checks for differences in bone conduction and air conduction
Bone-conductance
Will be > Air-conductance if there is conduction deafness
Air-conductance
Will be > bone-conductance in normal patient
