What are the major organs of the endocrine system?
Pituitary, thyroid, and adrenal glands; Pancreas and gonads; Endocrine tissues in other systems

Delivers air to alveoli; Provides oxygen to bloodstream; Removes carbon dioxide from bloodstream; Produces sounds for communication
What are the major organs of the digestive system?
Teeth, tongue, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, pharynx, esophagus, liver, gallbladder, pancreas
What are the functions of the digestive system?
Processes and digests food; Absorbs and conserves water; Absorbs nutrients; Stores energy reserves
What does the upper portion of the mediastinum contain?
Blood vessels, trachea, esophagus, and thymus

Right and left pleural cavities containing right and left lungs

Area posterior to peritoneum and anterior to muscular body wall

Duodenum (2nd, 3rd, 4th parts), descending colon, ascending colon, kidneys, pancreas (minus tail), aorta, inferior vena cava (IVC)
