interphase

prophase
nuclear envelope broken down, chromatin condensed into chromosomes, centrioles migrate to opposite poles

metaphase
chromosomes line up at center, centrioles reach opposite poles and attach spindle fibers

anaphase
centrioles retract spindle fibers and separate chromosomes

chromosomes reach opposite poles + uncoil back into chromatin, nuclear envelope reassembled by cytokineses
