I’m a marketing professional and creative designer with years of experience in storytelling, brand messaging, and digital marketing. My background includes developing multi-channel content strategies, creating compelling narratives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to engage diverse audiences. I have experience working with CRM tools, social media management, and producing both written and visual content.

The reason why I want to work with this company is because Per Scholas’ mission to create new pathways into tech careers really resonates with me. As someone with a non-traditional background in marketing, I understand the power of storytelling in showcasing learner successs employer partnerships and the impact of community. How do you handle tight deadlines and multiple projects at once?
I prioritize tasks by assessing deadlines, project impact. I use project management tools like Asana or Click-up to keep track of deliverables, smooth workflow and collaboration. I also used content calendars such as Notion.When juggling multiple projects, I break tasks into manageable steps to stay on schedule. I also build in buffer time to account for revisions or unexpected changes. Lastly, I set clear expectations with stakeholders, maintain close relationships & open communication.
Can you describe your process for creating engaging, on-brand content?
I start by understanding the objective and target audience. Then I set goals, choose platforms and set KPIs. Next, I research relevant topics, data insighets, & conduct interviews. Then I create content that connects to the audience by incorporating SEO best practices and story telling techniques. After, I make sure all messaging across platforms are consistent and aligns with the brands mission, voice and guidelines in general. Before launching to the greater public I like to run A/B test on smaller segmented groups and review the analytics. I keep open communication with everyone involved and make necessary changes if needed.
How would you approach creating a learner success story for Per Scholas?
I’d begin by identifying a compelling learner story—someone whose journey highlights Per Scholas’ impact. I’d conduct an in-depth interview, asking about their background, challenges, and transformation through the program. Then, I’d craft a narrative that connects emotionally while showcasing key statistics or outcomes. I’d ensure the story is adaptable for multiple formats, such as blog posts, video content, and social media snippets, to maximize reach and engagement.
What strategies do you use for effective content distribution?
I focus on a multi-channel approach, ensuring content reaches the right audience in the right format. This includes social media, email marketing, website updates, and paid promotions when needed. I also repurpose content across platforms—turning a blog post into a LinkedIn article, a Twitter thread, or a short-form video.
How do you ensure content remains aligned with an organization's brand voice and messaging?
"I closely follow brand guidelines and develop a strong understanding of the organization’s tone, language, and key messaging. I review past content, collaborate with stakeholders to align on priorities, and incorporate consistent storytelling elements. A/B testing also helps refine the messaging to maintain clarity and engagement."
What content management systems (CMS) and marketing tools have you used?
I have experience with CMS platforms like WordPress and Webflow for website content management, CRM tools ive used are HubSpot and Salesforce to track engagement and create personalized campaigns. Ive used Hootsuite and Notion for social media and campaign scheduling. the creative tools ive used are Fignma, Canva, Adobe Suite, and for email marketing Ive used Klaviyo and Constant Contact which are very similar to Mailchimp.
How do you measure the success of content marketing efforts?
I track KPIs, such as engagement rates, website traffic, conversion rates, and audience growth across platforms. Using tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, and social media insights, I analyze which content resonates most and adjust strategies accordingly. Qualitative feedback, such as comments and direct responses, also plays a role in assessing impact.
Tell me about a time you had to work cross-functionally to create content.
"In a previous role, I collaborated with the admissions and recruitment teams to create targeted content for prospective clients and new families/ students. I conducted interviews with parents and teachers and they provided insights such as the students and parents want more advanced classes starting during the students junior year. When the classes were approved I created email campaigns, social media posts and blogs for open houses that highlighted this improvement. We saw a significant increase in engagement with email open rates and posts such as sharing/favoriting, attendance and conversion rates increased as well!
Can you give an example of a challenging content project you worked on and how you handled it?
I once worked on a campaign with a tight deadline. The challenge was developing copy a new slogan quickly without sacrificing quality of the digital flyer graphic. I streamlined the process by repurposing existing content, and coordinating closely with the design team. The campaign was successfully delivered on time.
What types of content have you created in the past?
I’ve created email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and landing page content. I’ve developed educational resources such as, blog posts, Infographics and video content. All content is tailored to various stages of the customer journey.
Can you walk us through your experience in content development and how it aligns with the goals of Per Scholas?
In my previous roles, I’ve developed content with a strong focus on driving engagement and conversion. Specifically, I’ve created targeted email marketing campaigns and educational content that helped expand audience reach in educational sectors. I developed content strategies that included segmentation, personalized messaging, and clear calls-to-action (CTAs). This aligns with Per Scholas’ mission spread awareness to diverse audience and navigate them towards success.
How do you approach designing content for different audiences, particularly those with varying levels of technical skills?
Depending on the platform, I segment my lists based on user demographics, behavior and preferences. I make sure to design content that speaks to their specific level of understanding, while also nudging them toward deeper engagement.
I tailor the message to encourages engagement from both beginner and advanced learners.
For more novice users, I use simpler language and actionable steps that guide them through basic content,
while for more advanced users, I focus on providing value through in-depth resources, case studies, or exclusive content.
My goal is always to create pathways that not only keep them engaged but also move them closer towards completing the desired action.
Describe your process for developing content from concept to completion. How do you ensure quality and consistency throughout?
I start by clearly defining the goals of the content—whether it’s expansion, engagement, or conversion—and then aligning these with the target audience’s needs and the organization’s objectives. For email marketing, I conduct audience research to determine the most compelling subject lines, CTAs, and content formats. From there, I map out the content flow and structure, creating templates that can be used across campaigns to maintain consistency. Throughout the process, I ensure each piece is A/B tested (when applicable) for engagement metrics like open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, refining the content based on feedback and results to optimize future campaigns.
How do you stay updated on trends in content development, especially related to tech education and workforce development?
I stay current by attending webinars, subscribing to industry-specific newsletters, and following thought leaders in both email marketing and tech education. I also participate in online forums and communities where content marketers and educators share best practices. I’ve also participated in ongoing training around new tools and methods for increasing email engagement and improving conversion rates, such as AI-powered personalization tools and segmentation strategies.
This role will require you to work closely with instructors, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. How do you manage these relationships?
I would build strong relationships by establishing trust and setting clear expectations from the beginning. When creating content, I would work closely with experts to make sure the message is accurate and engaging. I would also collaborate with instructors to tailor content for different audience and use their insights to connect with prospective students. Throughout the process, I keep communication open, gather feedback, and make adjustments to improve engagement and conversions.
How do you prioritize multiple content development projects with overlapping deadlines?
If deadlines overlap, I lean on my automation tools to schedule and manage campaigns, ensuring that content flows consistently while allowing time for analysis and iteration. I try to be proactive in addressing bottlenecks and communicating with stakeholders early on if adjustments are needed.
How do you handle feedback and revisions during the content creation process?
I approach feedback by being open and adaptable, especially when it’s data-driven, like open rates or click-through rates. If revisions are necessary, I immediately prioritize the changes that will improve engagement and conversion—whether it’s tweaking subject lines, revising CTAs, or testing new formats. How would you ensure the content you develop is inclusive and accessible to a diverse audience, particularly those from underserved communities?
I ensure that the content I develop is accessible by using simple language, clear CTAs, descriptive text, and mobile-friendly designs. I also focus on creating inclusive content that reflects diverse perspectives and experiences which migh involve highlighting success stories from individuals from underserved communities or creating content that speaks to the specific challenges and aspirations of these audiences. I also use segmentation and personalization in email campaigns to ensure that content reaches individuals at the right time, with the right message that feels tailored to their needs.
What content creation tools (e.g., LMS, video editing, graphic design software) are you proficient in, and how have you used them in past roles?
For graphic design work such as social media posts/stories I use Figma, For e-mail marketing I use canva first to deign the layout of the email and then transfer it to the email marketing platform. When creating video content I use capcut. I use grammarly and ChatGPT for proofreading and sentence structure.
How do you measure the effectiveness of the content you’ve created? Can you provide an example of how you’ve used feedback or analytics to improve content?
I measure the effectiveness of my content primarily through engagement metrics like open rates, click-through rates, and conversions. For instance, I worked on a campaign that initially had a low open rate. After reviewing the analytics, I identified that the subject lines were not resonating with the audience. I tested new subject lines, which increased the open rate by 15%. I also analyzed conversion rates and adjusted the CTAs to be more specific, driving a 10% increase in course sign-ups.
Tell us about a time when you had to collaborate with a difficult stakeholder. How did you manage the situation and still deliver high-quality content?
I worked with a stakeholder who initially didn’t agree with some of the email marketing strategies I proposed, particularly around segmenting audiences and personalizing content. To address this, I scheduled a meeting to understand their concerns and present data that supported the engagement potential of segmentation. After discussing and aligning on our goals, I was able to refine the approach, which resulted in a more targeted campaign that not only addressed their concerns but also improved conversion rates

In high-pressure environments, I prioritize based on impact. I break down tasks, focusing on key deliverables that align with expansion, engagement, and conversion goals. I also lean on automation tools and templates to streamline repetitive tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met without sacrificing content quality. By staying organized and being proactive in communicating any potential delays, I ensure that all content is delivered on time and at the highest quality.
Describe a time when you received constructive criticism on your content. How did you handle it, and what changes did you make as a result?
I once received feedback that the CTAs in my emails weren’t as compelling as they could be. I took this feedback constructively and A/B tested several different CTA formats. I found that making the CTAs more action-oriented and specific to the user’s journey significantly improved engagement and conversion rates. By testing and iterating, I ensured that the content resonated more deeply with the audience.
