Impulse force
The force calculated for a car of 1600kg zavelling at a velocity of Mods when the impact takes 2second.
Hydraulic press system
A system using a lover of negligible mase with a piston pivoted of point P, featuring Piston A with an Area of 30cm and Piston B with an Area of 360.
Velocity Ratio (VR)
A property of the hydraulic press system determined using the areas of Piston A (30cm) and Piston B (360).
Mechanical Advantage (MA)
The ratio of the load force to the effort force, which is calculated for the machine systems.
Efficiency
The ratio of MA to VR, given as 80% for an inclined plane lifting a load through a vertical height of 4.0m.
Inclined plane
A simple machine that makes an angle of 300 with the horizontal, used to lift a 50kg load through a vertical height of 4.0m.
Work done against friction
The energy lost while raising a 50kg load through a height of 4.0m at a constant velocity, calculated with g=10N/kg.
Effort
The force applied to move a load, such as the 100N force applied to the lever or the force required to move a load up the inclined plane.
