A straight path between two points, A and B.
Line AB |
A line that starts at point B and goes through point C, extending infinitely in one direction.
Ray BC |
Formed by two rays, XY and XZ, that share a common endpoint X.
Angle ∠YXZ (or ∠ZXY)
A portion of a line that starts at point D and ends at point E.
Line Segment DE
Begins at endpoint E and passes through point F, continuing without end.
Ray EF
Starts at point G and extends infinitely in the direction of point H.
Ray GH
Straight path with endpoints at I and J.
Line Segment IJ
Formed by two rays, KL and KM, that share the vertex K.
Angle ∠LKM (or ∠MKL)
A line with two endpoints at N and O.
Line Segment NO
A line that has an initial point P and passes through point Q, going on forever.
Ray PQ
Straight path with arrows on both ends and points S and T lie on the line.
Line ST
A plane with three noncollinear points X, Y, and Z.
Plane XYZ
A four-sided figure with noncollinear points T, R, Y lying in the interior of the figure.
Plane TRY (or simply Plane if the figure represents a plane)
A line with arrows on both ends named as l.
