Self-Realization
The process of becoming aware of oneself and achieving personal wholeness by integrating opposites within one's personality. It involves understanding one's true nature, recognizing one's strengths and weaknesses, and fostering a connection between the conscious and unconscious aspects of the self. This journey often encompasses personal growth, self-acceptance, and the pursuit of individual potential, leading to a more fulfilled and authentic life.
Collective Unconscious
A part of the unconscious mind that derives from ancestral memory and experience, containing archetypes that are shared among all humans.
Archetypes
Universal, primordial symbols and images residing in the collective unconscious that shape human experiences, such as the persona, shadow, anima, and hero.
Persona
The aspect of someone’s character that is presented to or perceived by others, often a 'mask' worn in social contexts.
Shadow
The darker, hidden aspect of one’s personality, containing repressed weaknesses and instincts.
Anima
The female essence that is present in the collective unconscious of men, influencing their feelings and moods.
Animus
The male essence that is present in the collective unconscious of women, influencing their thoughts and opinions.
