Keep track of whether neurotransmitters have been released, and inhibit further neurotransmitter synthesis and release
What is retrograde transmission?
Where some post-synaptic cells respond to stimulation by releasing chemicals back to the pre-synaptic cell, where neurotransmitter release is inhibited
