Flawed argumentation, either deliberate or accidental.
Ad hominem
Attacking character, rather than ideas.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc
Mistaking correlation for causation
Stacked evidence
Providing evidence for only one side of a debatable issue.
Bandwagon appeal
Suggesting something must be the case because many others believe it.
Slippery slope
Arguing that one thing will inevitably lead to another, resulting in a final outcome. Essentially, arguing that if A happens, Z will definitely happen.
Generalization / hasty generalization
Making an argument about a broad group or aspect from just a handful of examples. if based on initial experience, then it is 'hasty' - too quick.
False dilemma
Providing an 'either/or' choice, indicating that these are the only two possibilities.
Whataboutism
Diverting attention from a question to somebody or something else who might also be asked that same question.
Strawman argument
Oversimplifying or distorting an argument to attack that, rather than address the original, nuanced view
