Rusher
role is to put pressure on the quarterback, often with specific rules on when they can rush from the line of scrimmage.
Linebacker (LB):
A versatile defender who covers receivers in pass coverage and helps defend against the run.
Defensive Back (DB):
Responsible for guarding wide receivers and preventing passes.
Safety (S)
defender that works on pass coverage and covers deep in the field
Quarterback (QB):
The leader of the offense, responsible for calling plays and throwing the ball to eligible receivers.
Center (C):
Snaps the ball to the quarterback to start the play and can also run as a receiver.
Running Back (RB):
Takes handoffs from the quarterback, runs the ball, or can be an eligible receiver.
Wide Receiver (WR):
Runs routes to catch passes from the quarterback and needs speed and agility.
Tight End (TE):
Lines up on Offensive line and can be a blocker and a receiver
