Process where a single parent cell divides to make two identical daughter cells.
MITOSIS
Mitosis takes place in body cells called?
SOMATIC CELLS
This undergo mitosis to reproduce sexually.
UNICELLULAR ORGANISMS
This undergo mitosis to create new cells for growth and repair old cells.
MULTICELLULAR ORGANISMS
The chromosomes align in the centre of the cell and attach to microtubules in preparation to split apart.
METAPHASE
Chromatids seperateand move to opposite ends of the cell.
ANAPHASE
The cell grows in size and replicate it's DNA to prepare for cell division.
INTERPHASE
The chromosomes (genetic material) condense (coil tightly) and the chromosomes line upin the middle.
PROPHASE
Two new nuclei form around each set of chromosomes.
TELOPHASE
The cytoplasm of the parent cell split to form two identical daughter cells.
CYTOKINESIS
What are the 3 interphase?
G1, S & G2
What are the 4 Mitosis?
PROPHASE, METAPHASE, ANAPHASE & TELOPHASE
Division of the cytoplasm.

6 CYTOKINESIS
Somatic cells is also known as?
BODY CELLS
Mitosis is a process where a single patent cell divides to make?
TWO IDENTICAL DAUGHTER CELLS
Period after DNA is duplicated; cell prepares for division. (Interphase ends in parent cell.)
G2
Is the cell's control center. It stores DNA.
NUCLEUS
Is the thin outer layer that surrounds the cell.
CELL MEMBRANE
Is the jellylike substance that fills the cell.
CYTOPLASM
Is a network pa membranes with two distinct regions: rough and smooth.
ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM (ER)
Is a tiny structure that assembles proteins. It can be free floating in the cytoplasm or attached to the rough ER.
RIBOSOME
It modifies, packages, and transport proteins and other molecules to their correct destination.
GOLGI APPARATUS
Acts as the cell's disposal and recycling center.
LYSOSOME
Generates the energy the cell needs to carry out its activities.
MITOCHONDRION

Identify the parts of the animal cell, base on the picture given.
