Motion

a change in an objects position relative to time and a distinct reference point

Speed

how fast an object moves

constant speed

when an object travels equal distances in equal amounts of time

momentum

the amount of motion an object has or the power behind an object.

* heavier objects have more momentum
* an object’s momentum depend on it’s mass and velocity

velocity

the direction and speed of an object

acceleration

any change in an object’s velocity

Gravity

the force that pulls and two objects towards each other

* the strength of gravitational force depends on the mass of two objects and the distance between them

Work

When a force moves an object in the direction of the force

power

the rate at which a certain amount of work is accomplished

Machines

implements that make work easier by redirecting or multiplying forces

Mechanical advantage

the ratio between the force put into the machine and the force put out by the machine
