What to expect after Meningitis B vaccine?

Fever

  • Give paracetamol = reduce the risk of fever, irritability and general discomfort e.g. pain at the site of injection after vaccination

What reactions are caused after the MMR vaccines?

(MMR - measles, mumps, rubella)

  • Measles: 6-10 days = fever, measles like rash & loss of appetite show

  • Mumps: 2-3 weeks = fever & swollen glands

  • Rubella: 12-14 days = brief rash and slightly raised temperature
