test-retest reliability

Often referred to as Stability Reliability, evidence of a test's consistency of measurement is collected by testing a group of students and then re-administering that test to the same group of students at a later time.

Alternate-form reliability

The consistency of measured results yielded by different forms of the same test.

Internal-consistency reliability

The degree to which a test's items are functioning in a similar fashion (homogeneous).

standard error of measurement

An estimate of the consistency of an individual's test performance(s) represented by an index of how likely it is that another test performance would yield a comparable score.

Reliability

The consistency of results produced by measurement devices.

Reliability/Precision

The degree to which scores of a particular group of test-takers are consistent over repeated administrations of a test, thereby leading to the inference that scores for an individual test taker are similarly dependable and consistent.
