Occurs in lateral meristems, makes plants wider and thicker, found in woody dicots, monocots don’t have it

Primary growth

Occurs in apical meristem, makes the plant longer, found in all plants

Transpiration

Leaf water evaporation, through stomata pores, pulls water upward

Phloem

Plant vascular tissue, transports food/sugar, moves up and down

If hydrogen bonds could not form

No cohesion or adhesion, transpiration fails, water can’t travel up
