Chapman for Thyroid
Anterior: Intercostal space between the 2nd C 3rd ribs close to the sternum
Posterior: Posterior surface of the TP of T2, midway between the SP and the tip of the TP
Chapman for Ovaries
Anterior: Following the round ligament from superior to inferior border of pubic ramus
Posterior: Intertransverse space of T9 C T10 and T10 C T11
Chapman for Adrenals
Anterior: Area from 2-2 ½ inches above and 1 inch on either side of the umbilicus

Flow in subclavian or axillary artery obstructed secondary to compression between
• Scalene
• Bony anomaly

Venous TOS
Most common in healthy young men involved in excessive UE activities (Swimming, tennis,
weightlifting, pitching) resulting in spontaneous thrombosis of the subclavian or axillary vein
• Contributing factors -Hypertrophy of the pectoral muscle, Fibrosis and thickening of damaged vessel wall
• Symptoms -Limb feels heavy, Appears edematous and cyanotic
• Pain and paresthesia due to vascular compromise
Neurogenic TOS
TOS have objective weakness and numbness
• History of neck trauma
• MVA, violent collision in sports, repetitive heavy lifting
• Symptoms - Paresthesia's or weakness of hand and arm
• Nonspecific headaches, tinnitus and vertigo
