If a bullet is fired from a gun horizontally and another bullet is dropped from the height which will hit the ground first and why?

They will both hit the ground at the same time because they are launched from the same yo, Vyo, ay. Because these values are the same, the time to land will be the sam. If they were launched at different heights, their times would be different.

If a bullet is fired from a gun horizontally and another bullet is dropped from the height which will land further away and why?

Range is determined by time in air and horizontal velocity. If time in air is same for both, the bullet fired will land farther because it has greater horizontal velocity.

Newtons Second Lab

Procedure 1: involved measuring various forces at a constant mass (measured acceleration with meter stick and stopwatch).

We graphed the force (y-axis) vs acceleration (x-axis). It was linearized.

Force and acceleration are directly related. The slope of the graph equals mass.

Procedure 2: Measuring various masses at constant force (measured acceleration with meter stick and stopwatch).

Graphed mass (y-axis) vs acceleration (x-axis). Wasn’t linearized so graphed mass (y-axis) vs 1/acceleration (x-axis).

Mass and acceleration and indirectly related. The slope of linearized graph equals force.

u of a shoe lab

Found FA using a spring scale. Measured mass using balance.

Graph Ff (y-axis) vs FN (x-axis). Was linearized.

Slope of graph equals u of shoe
