These are the sites of nerve blocks. You perform them from the "inside" of the mouth, meaning you lift of the lips and inject the needles down to the hub at the sites

Mandibular foramen is the site of the inferior alveolar nerve block. This is the only one you inject from the "outside" meaning you don't have to lift up the lips or go inside the mouth

Seeing the palatine fissure helps us to recognize a normal maxilla on radiographs

Mandibular symphysis: a fibrocartilaginous synchondrosis that is normal

Mandibular canal: MAJOR LOCATION of blood/nerve supply, so keep this in mind during surgical extraction of mandibular teeth

Mandibular turns into inferior alveolar nerve, which splits into both alveolar sensory nerves and mental nerve
Sensory innervation of the teeth and oral cavity starts with the trigeminal nerve (V). Talk about the approximate branches which come from that nerve.
