step one
diploid cells containing chromosomes join at the centromere and freezes until puberty is hit
step two
once menstrual cycle starts, the joint chromosomes combine and swap portions of their chromosomes with each other
step three
the chromosomes get pulled apart and split into two cells, with one getting most genetic material, and the other getting less, called the polar body
step four
polar body is discarded by body
step five
the cell with most genetic material is the egg and is either fertilized or expelled by body
step six
if fertilised, the egg is split up and turns into two haploid cells, one being a polar body, and the other turns into a larger cell where the sperms chromosomes break down and combine with the eggs chromosomes
