Magnetism
The phenomenon associated with the attraction and repulsion of magnets.
Magnetic Field
The area around a magnet where objects can be pushed or pulled.
Electromagnet
A type of magnet that can be turned on and off using electricity.
Electric Current
The flow of electrons through a closed path.
Conductors
Materials that allow electricity to flow through them.
Insulators
Materials that do not allow electricity to flow through them.
Static Electricity
Electricity caused by a buildup of negatively charged electrons that can jump to another object.
Series Circuit
A circuit that includes a power source, load, and a path for the electric current to flow.
Demagnetization
The process of losing magnetism, which can occur by dropping, rubbing, or using a demagnetizer.
Components of an Atom
The three parts of an atom: electrons, protons, and neutrons.

Components of an Atom
The three parts of an atom: electrons, protons, and neutrons.
Examples of Conductors
Common conductors include copper, gold, silver, and water.
Examples of Insulators
Common insulators include rubber, plastic, wood, and glass.
What are the charges of an atom's components?
Electrons have a negative charge, protons have a positive charge, and neutrons have no charge.
Parallel Circuit
A circuit where the electric current splits into two or more paths, providing multiple routes for current flow.
