Give 3 more uses of trees.
4. Homes for animals 5. Provide wood and paper 6. Prevent soil erosion
What can we learn from the Wajãpi people?
To live in harmony with nature and use resources wisely without waste.

What are emissions?
Harmful gases released from cars, factories, or burning fuels like coal.
What is a carbon footprint?
The amount of carbon dioxide and other harmful gases you release into the air by your actions.
How does food add to your carbon footprint?
It is grown, processed, transported, consumed, and disposed of—all releasing greenhouse gases.
How do light and heat add to your carbon footprint
Most electricity comes from fossil fuels.
How does transport add to your carbon footprint?
Most vehicles run on fossil fuels which emit harmful gases
How do clothes add to your carbon footprint?
They use a lot of electricity to produce; some fabrics like nylon are not biodegradable.
How does entertainment add to your carbon footprint?
It uses electricity from fossil fuels (amusement parks, electronic devices).
Why are plastic bags bad for the carbon footprint?
They are not biodegradable and pollute the environment.
How do wind turbines help reduce climate change?
They don’t release emissions or use water for cooling.
How do solar panels help the environment?
They don’t emit greenhouse gases and reduce fossil fuel use.
What is geothermal energy?
A clean energy source that mainly releases steam and helps achieve zero carbon goals.
What is biomass energy?
Energy from plants that absorb CO2 while growing, balancing out the CO2 released when burned.
