Curriculum
The experiences and materials with which students will interact for the purpose of achieving identified educational outcomes.
Curriculum Framework
A structure that allows children to work through curriculum content and provide a road map that establishes standards for student performance and teacher accountability.
ELECT Framework
Early Learning for Every Child Today, the framework established in 2007, which outlines standards, practices, and policies for early childhood education.
Belonging
Every child has a sense of belonging when he/she is connected to others and contributes to their world.
Well-being
The state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy, encompassing social, financial, physical, emotional, environmental, intellectual, spiritual, and occupational aspects.
Engagement
The state of being genuinely involved and interested in activities, which goes beyond being occupied or busy.
Expression
The way children communicate their thoughts and feelings through various 'languages' such as verbal, non-verbal, art, etc.
Project Approach
An in-depth exploration of a topic that may be child or teacher initiated, allowing for a complex and interactive teaching and learning process.
Reggio Emilia Approach
An innovative approach to early childhood education that values the child as strong, capable, resilient, and rich with wonder and knowledge.
HighScope Curriculum
A curriculum that encourages student initiative and active learning, grounded in the theories of Piaget and Vygotsky.
Montessori Education
An individualized approach to education that fosters independence, curiosity, and self-motivated learning from infancy through high school.
Waldorf Education
