Dimensions
Characteristics used to describe any physical quantity.
Units
Magnitudes assigned to dimensions.
Primary or Fundamental Dimensions
Basic dimensions such as mass (m), length (L), time (t), and temperature (T).
Secondary or Derived Dimensions
Dimensions expressed in terms of fundamental dimensions, such as velocity (v), acceleration (a), and energy (E).
International System (SI)
The metric system of units incorporating base and derived standard units such as meter, kilogram, and Newton.
English Engineering System / USCS
United States Customary System of units utilizing terms such as feet, pound mass, and pound force.
Fathom
A unit of length equal to 6 feet.
Furlong
A unit of length equal to 220 yards.
Cable
A unit of length equal to 120 fathoms.
Micron
A unit of length equal to 10−6 meter.
Mil
A unit of length equal to 10−3 inch.

Volume of Ideal Gas (STP)

Latent Heat of Vaporization (water)
