Olecranon
The prominent bone of the elbow formed by the ulna.
Trochlear notch
The concave surface of the ulna that articulates with the trochlea of the humerus.
Coronoid process
A projection of the ulna that fits into the coronoid fossa of the humerus.
Radial tuberosity
A bony prominence on the radius, located just below the neck.
Humerus
The long bone of the upper arm that runs from the shoulder to the elbow.
Epicondyle
Bony protrusions near the elbow joint on the humerus that serve as attachment points for muscles.
Capitulum
The rounded distal end of the humerus that articulates with the head of the radius.
Trochlea
A spool-shaped structure on the humerus that articulates with the trochlear notch of the ulna.
Radial head
The proximal end of the radius that forms part of the elbow joint.
Proximal radioulnar joint
The joint between the radial head and the radial notch of the ulna allowing for rotation.
Medial epicondyle
A bony prominence on the inner side of the humerus that serves as a muscle attachment point.
Lateral epicondyle
A bony prominence on the outer side of the humerus that serves as a muscle attachment point.
