Force
A push or pull, that acts on an object due to its interaction with another object (Newtons)
Contact Forces
Objects are physically touching e.g. friction; air resistance; tension → there is also Normal Contact Force which is the ‘reaction force’; the equal and opposite force
Non-Contact Forces
Don’t require the objects to be; they can act through empty space e.g. gravitational; magnetic; electrostatic → strength of forces decreases as objects gets further apart
