9/10 Gravitational Fields

What is the minimum number of objects needed for a force to appear

2 objects (all forces must come in pairs)

A field is created by just 1 object,

the “source” of the field

Contact forces exists when someone or

something acts on another

Gravitational field is always there because a

mass exists

You can think of force fields as areas of

potential force (Object A creates a force field because Object A exists, until Object B enters then there is a force pair that develops between Object A and Object B)

infinity

There can only be ONE net electric field,

which is the sum of all electric fields at that point in space

There can only be

ONE net gravitational field
