Haploid
A non-Homologous, Does not create identical daughter cells.
Diploid
A pair of Homologous, It does create identical daughter cells
G1
Cell growth
S
DNA Replication
G2
More Growth and is preparing for mtosis
Mitosis
When the cell divides it’s DNA and cytoplasm to form two new cells
Prophase
The cell’s DNA gets tightly packed into chromosomes so the cell can get ready to divide. Key word (Prepares)
Metaphase
When all of the chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell and the spindle fibers attach to them. key word is (Middle)
Anaphase
When the chromatids are split up and start to move away from each other to the opposite ends of the cell. Key word is (Away)
Telophase
Two new nuclei form and the chromosomes loosen back into chromatin
Cytakinesis
This divides the cytoplasm of the parental cell into two distinct independent daughter cells (Also the end stage of the cell cycle before it all repeats again and it’s NOT a part of the mitosis)
The correct order of mitosis is?
Prophase,Metaphase,Anaphase, and Telophase.
