Olfactory bulb
A structure in the brain responsible for the sense of smell, located at the anterior part of the brain.
Olfactory nerves
Nerves that carry sensory information from the olfactory bulb to the brain.
Cranial Nerve II
The optic nerve responsible for transmitting visual information from the eyes to the brain.
Optic chiasm
The point in the brain where the optic nerves from both eyes cross over.

A structure in the eye that contains muscle fibers for adjusting the shape of the lens.
Macula lutea
The area on the retina responsible for sharp, detailed central vision.
Fovea
The central part of the macula responsible for the sharpest vision.
Optic disc
The point on the retina where the optic nerve exits, resulting in a blind spot.
Blind spot
The area of the retina without photoreceptor cells, where no visual information is processed.
