is í an grá áite téama an dán seo. rugadh agus togadh an fhile sna hoileáin Árainn. I ngach véarsa léiríonn sé a ghrá don Inis mór - don saol tuaithe agus go háirithe don saol cois farraige. Feicimid sna línte 7-13 oileánach ag leagadh ciseáin óna dhroím agus ag leathnú feamainne ar an trá chun í a thriomú. Dar le Máirín Ó Direáin bhí niamhracht ag baint leis na radharc "is an fheamainn ag lonrú/I dtaitneamh gréine" . Tá an fhile lán le cumha agus tá sé fós ag smaoineamh siar ar a cheantar dúchais.

Place love is the theme of this poem. The poet was born and raised in the Aran islands. In every verse he shows his love for Inis Mór- for country life, especially for life by the sea. We see in the lines 7-13 islanders laying down baskets from their back and spreading the seaweed out on the beach to dry them. According to Mairín Ó Díreáin, the views were associated with glory “is an fheamainn dhearg ag lonrú/ i dtaitneamh gréine“ . The poet is full of memories and he is thinking about his native area

is cuimhin leis a mhuintir ag comhoibriú leis an dúlra : "fear ag glanadh cré ... fear ag caitheamh... mná i locháin" agus airíonn an saol sin uaidh. tá radharc álainn de mhná bailithe le chéile ar an trá agus ag baint carraigín faoi sholas na gréine sa tríú véarsa. nuair a bhíonn duine uaigneach i bhfad ó bhaile, is iad na cuimhní sina a thagann i gcuimhne. Bhí saol crua éiginnte ag na daoine oileánaigh na hÉireann fadó ar go leor bealaí ach ní ceapfá riamh agus an dán seo a léamh. dar le Máirín Ó Direáin agus a chuimhní a bhain le saol an oileáin in óige, tá a oileán cosúil le neamh

He remembers his family co-working with the nature: “fear ag glanadh cré […] fear ag caitheamh [….] mná i locháin“ and he misses that life. There is a beautiful view of women collected together on the beach and removing rocks under the light of the sun in the third verse. When a person is lonely far from home , it it the happy memories that comes to mind. Islanders of Ireland had a hard unpredictable life long ago in many ways, but you wouldn’t think of it while reading this poem! According to Máirtín Ó Díreáin and his memories associated with the island life of his youth, the island is like heaven

Cé go dtugtar ceithre íomhá éagsúil sa dán seo tá na mothúcháin céanna le fáil i ngach ceann díobh agus i mo thuairim is é suaimhneas an mothúchán is láidre. Cé go bhfuil na daoine ag oibre go crua is léir go raibh saol níos réchúisí acu ar bealaí. Tá grá mór ag an bpobal dá n-oileán. Is cuid den oileán iad agus an tOileán mar chuid díobh. Déanann sé cur síos ar na daoine ar an oileáin - an fear ag bailiú feamainn, na mná ag oibair ar an trá agus na hiascairí ag teacht abhaile le na héis. Tá meas aige don obair a dhéanamh ná daoine seo: fear ag ghlanadh cré de ghimséan spáide. Músclaítear an síochán anseo mar tá atmaisféar síochánta, grámhar le mothú idir na daoine ar an oileán

Even though 4 varying images were given in this poem there is the sae emotion available in each one of them and in my opinion the most strong emotion is serenity and peace. Even though the people are working hard, it’s clear that they had a laid back life in ways. The public had big love for their island. They are part of the island and the island is a part of them. He describes the people on the island - the man collecting seaweed, the women working on the beach and the fishermen coming home with their fish. He has respect for hte work these people do : “fear ag glanadh cré de ghimseán spáide“. The peace is awoken here because the peaceful, loving atmosphere is felt between the people on the island.

Máirtín ó Direáin is Áidin fhile. Rugadh é sa bhliain 1910 ar Inis Mór, oileán Árann. D'oibrigh sé in Ard oifig an phoist i nGaillimh agus i mBaile Átha Cliath ina dhiaidh sin. Ach thaitin sqol an oileán go mór leis agus is minic go mbíonn saol na Tuaithe mar théama ina chuid filíochta. Tá clú agus cáil air mar dhuine d'fhilí móra ar linne. Chum sé neart dánta cáiliúil mar shampla ' Deireadh Ré'. Fuair sé bás i mBaile Átha Cliath 1988.
