Point-slope form

$$y - y_0 = m(x - x_0)$$

Slope-intercept form

$$y = mx + b$$

Standard form

$$ax + by = c$$

What is the slope when using standard form

-a/b

Horizontal line

A flat line given by $y = b$ with a slope of $m = 0$

Vertical line

A vertical line given by $x = c$ with an undefined slope

Parallel lines

Lines with the exact same slope that never intersect

Perpendicular lines

Lines that intersect at a $90\text{ degree}$ angle

Negative reciprocal slope

The rule where slope $m$ becomes $-\frac{1}{m}$
