Curved bony structures inside the nose that warm, humidify, and filter air. (Think: natural air conditioners.)

Middle part of the throat behind the mouth; includes tonsils, uvula, and back of tongue

epistaxis

The fancy term for a nosebleed. Most common cause: trauma or dry mucosa.

Dysphagia
