UNIDIRECTIONAL INTERSUBJECTIVITY
This involves understanding another person’s perspective but not reciprocating that understanding.
It is a one-way interpretation of another’s perspective.
MUTUAL INTERSUBJECTIVITY
Two or more people understand and recognize each other’s perspectives.
It is a two-way exchange where each person’s understanding informs and is informed by the other’s.
COREGULATED INTERSUBJECTIVITY
This is an advanced form of mutual intersubjectivity
The participants actively construct and maintain a shared perspective.
