Possessive adjectives:

mi/mis, tu/tus, su/sus, nuestro/a/os/as, vuestro/a/os/as, su/sus

Possessive pronouns:

mío, (mía, míos, mías), tuyo (tuya, tuyos, tuyas), suyo (suya, suyos, suyas), nuestro (nuestra, nuestros, nuestras), vuestro (vuestra, vuestros, vuestras)

Rule for possessive pronouns:

The definite article goes along with the possessive pronouns EXCEPT when the possessive pronoun is followed by a form of the verb ser

That house is mine.

Esa casa es mía.

Mine is better than yours.

La mía es mejor que la tuya.
